When God called

About a year ago, our Lord impressed upon my heart to follow him and I told him I would get back to him. I didn't want to answer just to answer the question. I was praying about it and contemplating the question, and he asked me again, "Will you follow me?" For the first time in my life, I wanted to follow our Lord, whatever that meant. So, I said, "Yes Lord, I will follow you wherever you want me to go. If that means Zimbabwe, or South America, or Canada if you want." After I said yes, I didn't here anything for about 3 months as I was praying and asking for his guidance. I had the idea to use my wife as a barometer to see how crazy I was. I went to her and shared what God had laid on my heart saying, "Honey, I believe God wants us to get rid of everything we don't need, and pack everything left into a travel trailer. Then, under prayer, go where God wants us to go and serve while we're there in whatever form that takes." To my surprise my wife's response was, "It sounds great!" As I stood there in disbelief thinking really, you really agree with me, your not going to tell me "no" or that I am crazy; I realized the call had been confirmed. With that blindingly obvious confirmation, I went back to our Lord and said, "Okay Lord, if this is from you and you want me to do this call you have placed upon my heart, I have some fleeces for you. First of all, I have a house payment, second of all I have debt, third I have no trailer." My wife and I took that to prayer and while in prayer we felt the conviction to purge our house. For another three months we purged. During that time we had been looking for a trailer. Through circumstances and people, our Lord led us to the perfect trailer for our needs. True to Gods nature, every detail was provided down to even the sleeping arrangement. God had provided for us to set aside some money for a trailer. Well, looking back, we had enough to not only buy the trailer but also pay for the sales tax, tabs, and the hitch for our truck with 10.00 left over. The hitch story is coming up in the next post.

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Finally up and running

We have been working to get this blog going. We had to drive 45 min. into town for cell service. For those of you not familiar with our story, we will post a detailed summary of the last year and how God has moved mountains to get us to where we are. We will post videos and photos as we learn how to use this blog.

God Bless,
Ron
Remember to walk daily on your knees in the word and in prayer.
